Performance SUPs are typically Bic Ace-Tec All-Arounds, and Bic Ace-Tec Performers, available in 9.5, 10.5 and 11.5'. They are hard, epoxy paddleboards and rated for all-around use including flat water paddling and surfing. If unsure what size you should ride, we'll ask you your height and weight upon ordering. You can also leave a note or call to specify the board you want, or of course you can stop into our shop and look around. All performance Sups come with a paddle and PFD (personal flotation device), and a surfing leash if riding on the beach. We do not recommend starting on the beach if you're a beginner. We recommend getting started on the bay side of our little town here where you can learn the basics and get comfortable on calm inshore flat waters before hitting the surf. We also provide lessons, so please consider it. If you'd like to paddle on the bayside, we'll coordinate a meeting location with you at one of our area parks.
