These are brand new boats. You will be held responsible for any damages that occur. Drive carefully and inspect the boat beforehand. We are aware of a few very minor damages to the boat. Failure to disclose or lying about damages will only make us less generous. We would appreciate it if inexperienced boaters would take the time to gain at least a rudimentary understanding of how to drive a boat before arrival. Basic things to remember: 1) When in doubt go slow. It is very hard to damage a boat when you are going slow and the propeller is not moving. 2) No wake is no wake. Drive at no wake speed (the slowest speed the boat can possibly go while in gear) in Vermilion River and whenever indicated. 3) When docking, use the fenders to keep the boat off of the dock. Approach as slowly as possible. 4) If you drive the boat under the influence of drugs or alcohol you will be fined by us and reported to the police. 5) Avoid shallow waters and immediately exit any area that is less than 4 feet deep. You will almost certainly hit the propeller and the bottom of the engine. This will definitely result in a charge. 6) DO NOT BEACH THE BOAT EVER. Everyone who has beached the boat has damaged it. Everyone. 7) No rafting up with other boats. People that have done this have NEVER returned without significant damages. 8) Stay within designated driving area unless given explicit permission to stray outside of it. We look forward to having you! Please show that we can, in fact, have nice things.
