Brothers and current owners David and John Moulton founded Riverfront Marine Sports, Inc. in 1978. Originally the shop was located on the Merrimac River, in their grandfather's garage. In this little garage is where David and John joined forces to build one of the North Shores largest and longest running boat dealerships, beginning with selling and repairing Mercury Outboards. David went to school to perfect his service skills and John went to Bentley College and earned a bachelors degree in accounting. So with David steadily repairing the motors and John steadily at the books, Riverfront Marine was on its way. As time grew on and the business flourished, it became obvious that the garage would no longer be able to provide enough room for the brothers and their Mercury's. After careful consideration and much discussion David and John's parents (Ray & Kay Moulton, owners of Plum Islands Surfland Bait and Tackle)
