James Cook has always spent his free time outdoors — fishing, hunting and boating. He now looks to share that love for the outdoors with the Cedar Valley. Cook's Outdoors is the result of a life long dream to be more involved with the outdoor sports community in his hometown. Seeing a need in the Cedar Valley, James and Ken Syhlman, his business partner for over 20 years, set out to build their outdoor business. The key was finding a central location and offering "fishing friendly" hours that gives anyone heading outdoors a place to quickly buy live bait, fishing line, a cooler, or maybe a new fishing pole, seven days a week. This idea has now grown to offering quality G3 boats & Yamaha outboard motors.
