Golden Fawn Lodge is nestled in a small, quiet cove overlooking a beautiful, protected bay on The Chippewa Flowage near Hayward, Wisconsin. Surrounded by a forest of tall majestic pines, sturdy oak, graceful birch, and colorful maple trees with a big sand beach that is very safe for swimming and perfect for building sand castles. Soak up some sun, or sit around the campfire in the evening roasting marshmallows, and admiring the reflection of the moon on the still waters of the bay. We utilize a private boat ramp run by Fawn Cove Condominiums and supply a private dock slip for each of our cabins on a private bay. A stroll along the hiking trails is always a pleasure, and the “BIG CHIP” not only offers some of the best walleye, crappie and pan fishing, but also the always exciting challenge of the elusive and mighty musky. The many islands dotting the bay add to the wilderness atmosphere and also offer some lovely picnic spots.
