West Harbor Recreation, Inc., is owned and operated by Tim and Wendy Thorpe Allen (sometimes with help from their son Bennett). We have all been sailing for most of our lives, from putzing around in small dinghies to racing across stretches of ocean. Tim has sailed all along the eastern seaboard from the Chesapeake to Newfoundland, as well as crossing the Gulf Stream to Bermuda, and back. Wendy has done most of her sailing in the waters of Maine, but sailed with Tim on the double-handed return leg of the 2011 Bermuda 1-2 Yacht Race (Tim raced the single-handed leg out to Bermuda by himself). Bennett has grown up sailing with his mother and father, and both of his grand-fathers, and is an expert boat-handler. We look forward to helping you get out on the water during your Boothbay Harbor vacation! Contact Us today!
Boothbay Harbor on the coast of Maine has some great destinations and sites that can best be seen from a boat, such as the Burnt Island Lighthouse.
