In order to ensure that the party’s responsible for damage to vessel are held responsible we at Docklyne built a pre/post inspection tool to take photos of frequently damaged parts of boats before and after.
As part of your check-in process you will walk around the vessel with an employee of the rental operation and take photos. You will then need to sign on the screen that these photos are in fact real, and confirm your participation. Upon check-out, you and the employee take photos of the same parts of the vessel. Upon completion of photos a signature is required to confirm their veracity. This way we can ensure that the boat was returned in the same state in which it was rented.
If there is any damage it will be recorded in the photos and appropriate steps will be taken to address the cost of the damage. We built this tool for transparency. We do not want you to be responsible for damage that might have occurred, but was not logged, in a previous rental. Your participation in this will ensure that every trip can go smoothly for every renter!
