Home of the best canoeing, kayaking and tubing on Maine and New Hampshire’s Saco River, Saco River Canoe & Kayak was started 49 years ago by the Westerberg family with only one canoe. Today, we boast a large fleet of canoes, kayaks and tubes and a variety of trips for all ages and physical abilities. While our company has grown over the years, our goal has always remained the same: to provide our customers a unique, safe and truly memorable experience on Maine’s pristine and beautiful Saco River. The Saco River’s headwaters originate from the purest waters of Mt. Washington in Crawford Notch, NH and travels 136 miles, emptying out at Saco, ME into the Gulf of Maine. While the northern part of the Saco is rocky and rapid, the section from the lower part of Conway, NH from Fryeburg to Brownfield, ME is exceptionally sandy.
