- Washington, DC Kayaks are a great option for beginner and seasoned paddlers alike. Double kayaks are a multi occupancy boat with a max capacity of 500 lbs. While we do not advise more than two paddlers on a double kayak, a small child (under 3ft/30lbs) may be able to fit on the small bump seat in front of rear position paddler.
