Building a healthy community through enrichment, innovation and fun! Los Gatos-Saratoga Community Education and Recreation was formed in 1956 by the Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District. Commonly known as “LGS Recreation”, the department was re-organized by the three local school districts as a separate joint powers agency to ensure the effective and efficient provision of community education and recreation services to the communities of Los Gatos, Saratoga, Monte Sereno and Mountain communities.The mission of LGS Recreation is to provide fee-based public recreation programs for Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Saratoga and the Los Gatos mountain communities, as well as to provide fee-based supplemental education programs and child care services for Los Gatos Union School District, Saratoga Union School District and Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District.
