This property was originally the site of the Icehouse of the Poland Spring Hotels. Many of the hotel’s activities happened on the lake, including dog races, swimming and more. Later, the property was owned for many years by the Hales Family. They had cabins, with access to the lake. It then became campground and then later a restaurant.
