The Los Vaqueros Watershed will be closed on Sunday, September 4, and Monday, September 5, due to excessive heat and the potential for extreme fire danger. The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning for the inland East Bay forecasting temperatures of 110 in Brentwood. Stay safe! The watershed offers fishing, a boat rental marina, courtesy fishing docks, hiking and multi-use trails, picnic facilities, restrooms, and three staging areas. Los Vaqueros is a protected watershed environment that provides people with drinking water and numerous protected animal and plant species with a place to live. Because the reservoir stores drinking water, body contact sports (such as swimming) and personal watercraft are not allowed. Fishing from a boat or shore is superb, and recreation opportunities abound. Visit!
