If you have never sailed but are interested in learning then start with a 3-4 hour interactive introduction to sailing during which you will learn the fundamentals of sailing. After a brief orientation you will be invited to actively participate by manning the helm and sheets. Warning - this may be the beginning of a very rewarding new pastime! Experience real cruising!
