Lake Minnetonka (meaning “Big Waters” in the native Dakota language) is Minnesota’s ninth largest lake, popular among boaters, sailors, and fishermen alike. There are over 14,500 acres of water here to explore! According to lakeminntonka.com, the lake was formed by glacial melting in the last ice age, and covers 125 miles of shoreline. This massive, sprawling body of water is actually 40 virtually independent bodies of water. There’s a ton of room for both recreational boaters and anglers. And best of all, it’s chock full of fish. Your Boat Club has two Minnetonka locations, just down the road from one another: one at Brown’s Bay and one at Smith’s Bay. We take a lot of pride both our Brown’s Bay fleet, which has one of YBC’s most extensive choices of boats for your enjoyment.
