The Chesapeake Beach region is one of the more well known fishing hot spots with in the Maryland Chesapeake Bay. Known for a wide variety of available game fish that includes species as small and tasty as perch, spot, and croaker, to the bigger trophy species like big flounder, drum, cobia, and striper which are the most sought after species in the Chesapeake Bay.

A haven for birds, fish, crabs and other saltmarsh dwellers, Janes Island provides visitors a tranquil setting to explore the wildlife of the bay while enjoying the expansive vistas and stunningly beautiful sunsets.
