It all started when Jeff was about 10 years old and he had his first Sheepshead Bay fishing experience. He fell in love with the idea of someday owning his own boat and fishing for a living. The call of the open water was so strong that it inspired him to get a job as a deckhand as soon as possible. While working on various boats, Jeff received guidance and support from some of the greatest fishing legends, including Captain George “White Chin” O’Connell and Captain Eddie “Seawolf” Moraski.

Saugerties Marina is a three generation family owned and operated business established by Floyd Currey in 1969. Our original establishment focused in sales and repairs. Throughout the years we’ve transitioned into a full service marina adding additional offerings such as dockage, fuel, storage, rentals, a staff of highly experienced captains for charters and boating instruction, and many more amenities for the modern boater of today. Our goal is to provide a stress free and friendly environment where service comes first. We’re open seven days a week and almost all holidays because we take pride in our work and are passionate about helping others enjoy themselves out on the water. Saugerties Marina is now owned by partners Casey and Connor Currey. The Father-Son partnership was officially established in 2020, and the family operation will hopefully continue for generations to come.
