Sam-O-Set Four Seasons and Dockside Sports
S Shore Dr, Rangeley, ME, USA - 44.9337384 -70.6606427Sam-O-Set Four Season has a rich history starting with Stephen and Bessie Swain's purchase of a 400 acre farm on the southwest shore of Rangeley Lake's Greenvale Cove in 1924. They immediately starting building cabins number one and two and opened for business in 1925, building more cabins each year. Eventually, they had fourteen cabins on the shore of Rangeley Lake. This was an era when people arrived in Rangeley by narrow gauge rail and traveled the lakes in small steamboats to reach their destination. In 1986 Stephen Swain, with his wife Jackie, carried on the family tradition with original cabins number one through four, naming them Sam-O-Set Four Seasons.
