We offer paddle sport rentals out of our river location on the scenic Ausable River at the top of the Adirondack Park. Paddle at our beautiful river location or choose to transport your rental to a different location in the Adirondack region.

Hero's Welcome

Hero's Welcome is located in N.W. Vermont, on one of the Hero Islands in the middle of Lake Champlain. The century-old building was originally built by John Tudhope in 1899. Here it is in the early 1920s. The Tudhope family ran the Store for ninety years. That's John himself standing out on the porch. Later, hard times fell upon the place and it closed. The town of North Hero wasn't the same without that store...it had been the honored gossip spot for so long, the town rumor mill suffered!

We’re pet friendly, family friendly, offer free WIFI, TV access and short-term residents are welcome. Dock, drop anchor, or drive on down. The Community Sailing Center is a vital hub on the shores of Lake Champlain where community members and visitors of Burlington, Vermont gather to play on the lake together. We’ve got something here for everyone regardless of age, ability, or income.

Henry's Sportsman's Cottages

The Grounds Enjoy a private slice of paradise in the beautiful Lake Champlain Islands. Situated at the end of a quiet 2-mile road, our grounds are peaceful and well-manicured with space for lawn games, boat and trailer parking and more. Large shade trees create an idyllic setting for a relaxing waterfront vacation. The Area Discover local gems including Alburgh Dunes State Park just 10 minutes away, or take a day trip to the nearby mountains or cities. Burlington, VT, Plattsburgh, NY and Montréal, QC are all within a 45-60 minute drive from Henry’s. Guests can find a full list of our favorite local spots and restaurants in each cottage. The Boats Henry’s offers boating, fishing and water sports at your doorstep. We have two large docks with rental slips and power, as well as a boat launch area on property.
