Anacortes Kayak Tours is a small, family-run local company and we stand behind our product. Even with 19 years of service, most of the calls throughout the year will be answered by myself, Megan, or Erik Schorr. Our consistent presence also means that we are always able to address any questions or concerns that may arise. What drives Anacortes Kayak Tours is really a response to the experiences we’ve had while engaging in visitor activities during our own travels, and also from over 20 years of working in the tourism industry. We’ve patronized hundreds of different travel-related businesses all over the world. Some experiences were great and others were not but we always learned something from each experience. We took lots of notes and refined them into our own unique way of interacting with our guests, our staff, and the public.

Greenlake Boathouse

The Greenlake Boathouse is an independently owned boat rental operation established in 1974. Part of each rental goes to the Seattle Parks Department. When you support us, you support Seattle Parks. Our goal is to provide fun and safe water recreation while at Green Lake, one of Seattle’s most beloved parks. The Boathouse is located along the 2.8-mile path around the lake that provides a perfect recreational spot for runners, bikers, walkers, and of course, boaters and swimmers alike.

Vashon Adventures

We moved to Vashon Island in 2011 and realized we had landed on an island paradise. There may not be palm trees and tropical breezes but the natural beauty and the sense of community is second to none. We knew we wanted to share the magic but protect the environment too. Vashon Watersports was our first island business - kayak and standup paddle board rentals in Quartermaster Harbor. We offer guided tours, hourly rentals and classes in a protected harbor for all ages & experience levels. For those wanting a little more adventure, we offer kayak camping options and point to point paddling. We are thrilled that the pilot was a success and we will continue to offer camping for years to come. 2017 brought us back to terra firma with the opening of Vashon E-Bike. We offer a large rental fleet of electric bikes so more people can enjoy the island on 2 wheels, regardless of fitness level. Our fun and informative guided tours offer something for everyone. In 2018 we started our partnership with Argosy Cruises and Washington State Parks to provide kayaking at Blake Island State Park. We offer guided tours and hourly rentals during the summer.
