Welcome to Long Island Paddle Sports. We are the premier rental outfitters for Lake Norman at the Catawba River (LKN @ Catawba River) for kayaks, standup paddleboards (SUP), and canoes. We are located at 7774 Hudson Chapel Road in Catawba, North Carolina, in the marina parking area to the left of Waterside Bar and Grill. Our kayaks and paddleboards are available right at the marina boat launch and we have all you need to enjoy a day on the water exploring Lake Norman. We supply all rentals with paddles and a fully adjustable personal floatation device (PFD), both adult and youth sizes available. All PFDs have an attached whistle for your safety.

Carolina Boat Rentals at Ramsey Creek Park

This 46-acre waterfront park features a swimming area, boat launching and docks, a playground, picnic shelters, nature trails, fishing pier, enclosed dog park and a volleyball court. Picnic shelters are available for reservation along the shores of Lake Norman. Individuals and families planning a trip to the swimming beach will be able to visit daily throughout the summer in May until Labor Day between 10am - 7:30pm. Lifeguards will be on duty during beach hours. A free shuttle will operate from Cornelius Park and Ride lot (20300 Sefton Park Road) to Ramsey Creek Beach on weekends and holidays. The shuttle will run every 15 minutes from 9 am - 8 pm. Beach goers who use the shuttle will have free access to the beach. Throughout the summer, a park entrance fee will be collected.
